The Club History
We have been running meetings for the past 12 years at Yateley
School. It all began on the "A Block" playground, where each week we
laid out a track with thick gym rope, race control was in a tent,
and the ramp for a school hut served as a makeshift rostrum.
This served us well for 12 years, encouraging school pupils and
parents alike into the world of RC racing. Everyone thoroughly
enjoying themselves!
In late 2007 plans for a purpose built track were approved, once
funding was secured, the wheels where set in motion.
In early 2007 track construction commenced. A lot of hard work was
put in by club members, especially Chairman Ian Finch, helping
us to deliver a world class facility. By June 2006 the track was
fully finished and officially opened by BTCC champion Rob Collard.
Now life's a lot easier, our very own machined laid track can be
found on Yateley School's "C Block" field.
